HALLIDAY PORSCHE QUALIFIES 4TH FOR DUBAI 24 HOUR RACE

New Zealand racing driver Matt Halliday was delighted to qualify in 4th place for tomorrow’s Dubai 24 Hour Sports Car Race in the Middle East. The Californian based Kiwi star will be sharing the MRS Team PZ Aschaffenburg Porsche GT3 Cup S with fellow Porsche racers Will Langhorne (USA), Yadel Oskan (Turkey) and Francesco Castellac (Italy).

Although pleased to be starting from the front end of the large field, Halliday commented that their good qualifying performance has resulted in the organisers adding a small amount of weight to their car in accordance with race regulations. However, he feels they can compensate with that handicap through race strategy over the 24 hours.

Over 80 high performance cars will face the starter for the Dubai race which is scheduled to start at 2:00am on Saturday morning (NZ Time) and finish at the same time on Sunday morning. The event will mark Halliday’s debut in 24 hour racing.
